Each year around the July 4th holiday, Cool Ponds gives our staff a much deserved week off to get some rest and have fun with family and friends.

During this week our brick and mortar store, online store, installation services and maintenance services shut down for the week.

My pump has gone out. Will my pond be ok until you return?
Because every pond is different, we cannot say 100% yes. But we can say that if you have been maintaining your pond appropriately -- your water is clear, your pond isn't overstocked, you have an aerator -- we are 95% confident it will be fine. Put it this way... if one of our ponds' pumps went out while we were gone, I would be completely confident all our fish would be happy and healthy when we returned. FYI if you use an algaecide in your pond (we hope you don't) do not use it while your pump is not working. (Better yet, just don't use it at all -- ever.)

If your pond is not in great condition, we suggest finding an aerator to use until you can replace your pump. Oxygen is the key.

Will my fish starve if I run out of fish food?

Your fish do not need to be fed at all! We only feed our fish for our own entertainment. And yes it's fun!!!

What if I ran out of water treatments?

One week of missed treatments should be no problem! However, if you need dechlorinator run to your nearest pet supplies store. Dechlorinator should always be on hand in case of "forgotten hose syndrome."
